The project had to undergo approval from the Regional Directorate of Culture of the North as it is located in an area classified by the Municipal Master Plan (PDM) as having urbanistic and architectural interest.

The plot has a limited courtyard area. The need to introduce a garage led to the expansion of a basement level.

The existing building had undergone changes over time and was in a considerably degraded state. The interior was completely remodeled, while the façade facing the street was kept almost intact, strengthening connections with the adjacent building and respecting the modernist ambiance that characterizes the surroundings.
