Casa AB

The project begins with a significantly degraded rural house, yet possessing a character and identity that many recent houses lack. The existing construction essentially consists of two buildings surrounding a courtyard.

In the restoration of the old building, the intention is to revitalize without losing its character, respecting its identity. The new and the old engage in a dialogue, acknowledging the differences between them.

The area is notably limited for the intended program, prompting an expansion. The goal is to enhance the courtyard so that it can be experienced as the central and nuclear space around which the housing program unfolds.
